Privacy Policy
Math Sprint is privacy-first. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view analytics (see below), but we do not create server-side accounts, use tracking cookies, or build any personal profile of you. The only email addresses we collect are ones you explicitly provide — either in the optional feedback form, or by signing up for updates.
What We Store
The following data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage only and is never transmitted to our servers by default:
- Player Name: The display name you optionally provide during onboarding, stored locally for personalization.
- Game Progress: High scores, coins, inventory, achievements, and daily-challenge records.
- Settings: Volume, accessibility preferences, and game customization options.
Feedback and Optional Email
If you choose to submit feedback, the feedback form allows you to include an optional name and email address so we can follow up. Feedback submissions are sent to a third-party form provider (Formspree). Any email address you include in a feedback submission is used only to respond to your message and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties.
If you want your feedback or the email you provided removed from that provider's records, contact us via the feedback form and we will request deletion from the provider on your behalf.
Email Updates
If you sign up for email updates on our homepage, your email address is sent directly to our email newsletter provider (Buttondown) and is used only to send you updates about Math Sprint. It is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can contact us via the feedback form to request removal.
Your Rights & Deleting Data
Your game data and player name are stored locally in your browser. To remove these, clear your browser site data or localStorage for this site. If you submitted feedback and included an email, contact us via the feedback form to request removal of that submission from the third-party provider. To stop receiving email updates, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us via the feedback form.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate page-view counts across the site. It's cookieless and doesn't build a profile of individual visitors or track you across other sites — it only tells us roughly how many people visited a page, not who. No personal data is collected through it.
Data Security
We take care to avoid sending personal data outside the browser unless you explicitly submit it (for example, via the feedback form or the email updates signup). These submissions are transmitted securely using HTTPS and processed by Formspree and Buttondown respectively, under their own privacy practices.
Policy Updates
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page. Continued use of Math Sprint constitutes acceptance of the current privacy policy.
